Operation

Operation

GBV operates at the intersection of agriculture, infrastructure, and institution-building. Our work is structured around long-term partnerships that unlock productivity, transform value chains, and build resilient communities across Africa and beyond.

We engage selectively and deliberately — prioritising alignment, depth, and impact over volume. Whether you are a producer, investor, government partner, or technology leader, we connect through purpose, not cold outreach.

This is connection-first. The right conversation with the right person — from the beginning.

Growing Beyond Vision (GBV) is a strategic initiative of Lean Hub Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore, established 2014, owned by Jean F. Laugier) and three globally-based Partners (see Founders section).

We are currently establishing our dedicated Regional Hub for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), potentially in Sharjah — UAE, to provide localised expertise and closer stakeholder alignment. During this phased rollout, all operations are managed under the established governance of Lean Hub Asia.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about how GBV designs, builds, and shares the outcome — across the African agricultural value chain.

What is Growing Beyond Vision (GBV) and what does it do?

Growing Beyond Vision (GBV) is a supply chain and infrastructure consultancy that designs and orchestrates full agricultural value chains from local African farms to international buyers. Instead of just providing remote advice or selling consultancy reports, GBV actively builds the supply chain, coordinates partners, and works directly on the ground to deliver structured, export-grade outcomes.

What is the Results as a Service (RaaS) operating model?

GBV operates on a unique hybrid "Results as a Service" (RaaS) model where its fee structure is 60–80% results-driven. Compensation is contractually tied to achieving independently verified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as the specific metric tonnes of certified product exported, the number of farmers trained, or necessary compliance certificates obtained.

How does GBV integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its operations?

GBV uses a hybrid model that leverages cutting-edge AI agent "virtual employees" to ensure maximum efficiency and rapid scalability, while keeping human oversight by its entrepreneur team at the core of critical decisions. This approach is designed to be "human-first" — meaning that AI is utilized to upskill local workers and enhance global competitiveness rather than displacing Africa's booming youth population.

Which stakeholder groups does GBV align, and what are its current active projects?

GBV provides an integrated interface that aligns six major stakeholder groups: Producers, Communities, Funders, Processing plants, Traceability providers, and Buyers. Its current active project portfolio includes:

  • A non-GMO maize grits and flour project in Togo aiming for 1,500 processed tonnes by 2026
  • A domestic cocoa bean transformation project in Togo targeting the export of 1,200 tonnes of certified cocoa powder by 2027

How can an organization get in contact or collaborate with GBV?

GBV does not utilize a standard inquiry inbox; instead, the ecosystem operates entirely through direct LinkedIn connections with its co-founders to ensure conversations are qualified and informed. Stakeholders can reach out to the designated primary contacts based on their specific focus area:

Africa — Producers, Processing, Gov & Institutional Yaovi Kokodoko Buyers & Funders (Asia) / Tech & Ecosystem Ops Jean F. Laugier Buyers & Funders (EU) Gui Clavel Buyers & Funders (GCC) Adrian Lee
